1. Information We Collect
Yakar may collect your name, surname, company name, email address, mobile number, fuel requirement, order volume, delivery urgency, site location, B-BBEE certificate preference, and messages or notes connected to your enquiry.
2. How We Use Information
We use this information to create customer records, assess quote requests, prepare quotations, contact you, plan possible delivery arrangements, manage internal admin workflows, keep quotation history, and improve customer service.
3. Emails and Notifications
When you submit an enquiry, Yakar may send confirmation emails to you and notification emails to our admin team. If a quotation is prepared, it may be emailed to you with a PDF attachment.
4. Customer Records
Applicants are stored as customers, not public website users. Customer records are maintained for admin tracking, repeat submissions, quotation history, and operational follow-up. Customers do not receive login access unless Yakar creates a separate account in future.
5. Sharing of Information
We may share relevant information with internal staff, authorised service providers, logistics partners, professional advisers, or regulatory bodies where required for quotation, delivery, compliance, safety, or legal reasons. We do not sell customer information.
6. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No online system is completely risk-free, but we work to keep records controlled and relevant.
7. Retention
Yakar may retain enquiry, customer, quotation, and fulfilment records for operational, audit, tax, legal, and customer service purposes. Information that is no longer required may be archived, deleted, or anonymised.
8. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information where applicable under South African privacy law. Some records may need to be retained where required for legal, contractual, accounting, or operational reasons.
